In this piece we have taken some color photos, and our creative services department has made them into sepia tone pictures.
Sepia tones can be utilized for a variety of reasons: matching a color theme, adding an “old fashioned” look, or even to help enhance the photo by removing an abundance on unsightly colors.
This same technique could be used to manipulate pictures into other tones as well. Some examples of this would be making a photo black and white, or maybe even purely red tones, or only using color where there is blue in the image.
Any of these techniques and styles can be used to create something unique out of an existing photo.
This piece was mounted and framed using a Negative Edge framing style, and would also go well with our Ladder Frames.
